Soccer Recap: Costa Mesa Has No Trouble Against Ocean View

Costa Mesa won the last time they faced Ocean View and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Costa Mesa Mustangs were the clear victor by a 7-0 margin over the Ocean View Seahawks. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 210th, while the Seahawks are ranked 865th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Costa Mesa has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five contests. As for Ocean View, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-12-2.

Costa Mesa will host Katella at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Ocean View has already played their next game (against Valencia), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
