While Carroll didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against Woodbine on Friday as they made off with a 5-1 win. Considering Carroll has won five contests by more than three goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Carroll and bumps their season record up to 7-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those two matchups. As for Woodbine, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Carroll will square off against Ballard at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Carroll have won three straight at home, while Ballard won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Woodbine, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 7-1 victory against Missouri Valley on the 14th.
