The Morrow Mustangs will take on the Southwest DeKalb Panthers at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday. Morrow is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7  runs per game  this season.
Morrow is headed into Monday's   game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game  on Friday. They fell  5-2 to Heritage.
 Morrow saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Jadiel Hernandez, who  went a perfect2-for-2 with one  double and one  RBI. That  RBI was  Hernandez's first of the season.
Meanwhile, Southwest DeKalb didn't have quite enough to beat Chamblee on Saturday and fell  10-9.
 Allister Jennings was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring three  runs and  stealing four bases while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  hits (three). Another player making a difference was  Desmond McCord, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
 Even though they lost, Southwest DeKalb  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 14  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chamblee only hit eight  hits.
 Morrow's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Southwest DeKalb, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
 Morrow came up short against Southwest DeKalb when the teams last played  back in February of 2024, falling  14-10. Can Morrow avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
