Flag Football Recap: Higley Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Higley's offense. They had to suffer through a 52-0 loss at the hands of the Campo Verde Coyotes. The Knights lost against the Coyotes in their previous head to head back in November of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 24-21 score last time.

Jayda Fagrell threw for 93 yards while completing 71.4% of her passes. Ava Haney was her top target, picking up 43 receiving yards.

Amaya Moreno had an outrageously good game for Campo Verde as she threw for 295 yards and six TDs on only 19 passes, and also rushed for 45 yards and one score. Another player making a difference was Oakley Dobratz-Blevins, who picked up 94 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Higley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Campo Verde, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Higley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 14-7 loss against Casteel on the 16th. As for Campo Verde, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 37-0 win against Mountain Pointe on the 16th.
