Softball Recap: Sperry Takes a Loss

Sperry managed to slip by Sequoyah the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Pirates lost 7-1 to the Indians on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Pirates couldn't push the score so high this time.

Sperry's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 18-16. As for Sequoyah, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 30-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Indians beat Sperry by a score of 9-6 on Thursday.
