Softball Recap: Fossil Ridge Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Fossil Ridge and Broomfield squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Fossil Ridge had to settle for second. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 13-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the SaberCats have suffered against the Eagles since October 22, 2016.

Ashley Guenther made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Fossil Ridge moved to 11-15-1 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak. As for Broomfield, the victory (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 24-2.
