Soccer Game Preview: Cottonwood Classical Prep vs. East Mountain

The Cottonwood Classical Prep Coyotes will head out on the road to face off against the East Mountain Timberwolves at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cottonwood Classical Prep's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Cottonwood Classical Prep fell victim to Bosque and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, East Mountain entered their matchup against Sandia Prep on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Timberwolves fell just short of the Sundevils by a score of 2-1. The game got a bit rough at times, as the refs handed out a total of three yellow cards before it was all over: East Mountain's Noah Gomez and Kaamez Hataburda and Sandia Prep's Ryder Tregembo were all carded.

East Mountain's goal came courtesy of Gomez, who's now up to four this season.

Cottonwood Classical Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7-1. As for East Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4-2.
