Chicago Mt. Carmel faced St. Laurence in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Caravan walked away with a 12-8 victory over the Vikings. The win was nothing new for the Caravan as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Brady Holland was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Anthony Chavez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Chicago Mt. Carmel's victory bumped their record up to 26-10. As for St. Laurence, their loss ended a 22-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 33-3.
Chicago Mt. Carmel didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-1 win against Brother Rice on the 6th. St. Laurence does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
