Softball Recap: Plattsburg Takes a Loss

Plattsburg was the 16-6 winner over Lathrop when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell just short of the Mules by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lilly Nelson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double was her first of the season.

Plattsburg now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Lathrop, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-5.

Looking ahead, Plattsburg will square off against Savannah at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Savages' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Lathrop does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
