Basketball Recap: Lackawanna Trail Comes Up Short

Lackawanna Trail was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Elk Lake Warriors and fell 54-21. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 624th, while the Warriors are ranked 160th).

Lackawanna Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Elk Lake, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 17-1.

Lackawanna Trail didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 53-42 loss against Montrose on the 10th. As for Elk Lake, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 65-34 defeat against Hughesville on the 8th.
