Firebaugh is 10-0 against Avenal since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Firebaugh Eagles will welcome the Avenal Buccaneers at 5:30 p.m. Firebaugh's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Firebaugh turned things around against Tranquillity on Tuesday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time the Eagles have been dealt a draw since back in December of 2024.

Meanwhile, Avenal's game on Tuesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Coalinga by a score of 1-0. The result was nothing new for the Buccaneers as the squad haven't won a game since December 14, 2024.

Avenal now has a losing record at 5-6-3. With that draw, Firebaugh's record moves to 2-11-3.

Firebaugh came out on top in a nail-biter against Avenal when the teams last played back in February of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Will Firebaugh repeat their success, or does Avenal have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
