Soccer Recap: Shikellamy Takes a Loss

Shikellamy came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-0 to the Juniata Indians. While losing is never fun, Shikellamy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 169th, while Juniata are ranked 34th).

Shikellamy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Juniata, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Shikellamy will square off against Williams Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Shikellamy will be up against Williams Valley's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.5 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Juniata has already played their next match (against Bald Eagle Area), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
