Baseball Recap: South Gwinnett Drops Highest Score of Season Against Rockdale County

South Gwinnett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Rockdale County Bulldogs. One positive for the Comets, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Christopher Frazier stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Derek Patterson, who scored two runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-5.

South Gwinnett's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Rockdale County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-13 record this season.

Rockdale County will head out to challenge Central Gwinnett at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. South Gwinnett will be paying especially close attention to Rockdale County's match: after Rockdale County faces off against Central Gwinnett, they'll take on South Gwinnett again at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
