Soccer Recap: South Gwinnett Takes a Loss

South Gwinnett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Archer Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Comets of the 4-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

South Gwinnett's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Archer, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

South Gwinnett didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Newton on the 25th. As for Archer, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 9-0 win against Rockdale County on the 26th.
