Football Recap: Brett Bethers and Parker Olson Secure Win for Snow Canyon

Snow Canyon won the last time they faced Shadow Ridge and things went their way on Friday too. The Warriors came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 31-21. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

A big part of Snow Canyon's victory came down to the chemistry between Parker Olson and his top target Brett Bethers. Olson rushed for 48 yards while Bethers picked up 72 receiving yards. Bethers showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 65 yards.

One reason for the win was Snow Canyon's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for seven sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as seven different players picked up one apiece. They got some further help from Calen Kelly: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made 15 total tackles (5.0 for loss).

Snow Canyon's record now sits at 2-0.

Coming up, Snow Canyon will face off against Sierra Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Shadow Ridge, they will take on Simi Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
