Loyalton is 3-0 against Elk Creek since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Loyalton Grizzlies will be playing in front of their home fans against the Elk Creek Elks at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Loyalton has four straight wins, Elk Creek has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Friday, Loyalton narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Princeton 51-48.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Loyalton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eva Petterson, who posted 12 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mollie Griffin, who had eight points and six boards.

Loyalton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Elk Creek came up short against Plumas Charter on Tuesday and fell 38-30.

Loyalton is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Elk Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Everything came up roses for Loyalton against Elk Creek when the teams last played back in January, as the team secured a 63-30 win. Will Loyalton repeat their success, or does Elk Creek have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
