Baseball Recap: Paramount Comes Up Short

Paramount and Santa Barbara squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Paramount had to settle for second. They came up short against the Dons, falling 12-5. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Pirates, who until this game were averaging 3.7 runs allowed.

Paramount saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Fabricio Aguilar, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Paramount's defeat dropped their record down to 22-8. As for Santa Barbara, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-14.

Paramount does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Santa Barbara, they will challenge Kaiser at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The Cats' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Dons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
