Volleyball Game Preview: Providence Pioneers vs. Lakewood Lancers + Official Tickets

The Providence Pioneers will face off against the Lakewood Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Providence is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Rim of the World. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Pioneers as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-14, 17-25, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Lakewood posted their closest victory since September 6th on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Woodcrest Christian 3-2.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (113-108) Lakewood actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 21-25, 25-19, 14-25, 19-17.

Providence's victory bumped their record up to 21-12. As for Lakewood, their win bumped their record up to 10-22.
