Basketball Recap: Las Plumas Snags Ninth Win in Last Ten Games

Las Plumas won the last time they faced Corning and things went their way on Friday too. The Las Plumas Thunderbirds strolled past the Corning Cardinals with points to spare, taking the game 37-22. Given the Thunderbirds' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 464th, while the Cardinals are ranked 1126th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Krystiana Copple was the offensive standout of the matchup as she posted seven points. Another player making a difference was Liliana Carrillo, who put up seven points.

Las Plumas is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season.
