Baseball Recap: Eastside Eagles vs. East Forsyth Broncos
Eastside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the East Forsyth Broncos, falling 8-2. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Broncos this season, with their most recent defeat being a 13-4 loss on Friday.
Eastside saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase Jordan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Eastside's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for East Forsyth, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-6.
Looking ahead, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Eastside Eagles challenge Flowery Branch Falcons at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastside will need to watch out since Flowery Branch has now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for East Forsyth, they will face off against North Oconee at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Oconee's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so East Forsyth's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
