Basketball Recap: Richland Skates Past Bald Eagle Area with Ease

Richland's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They blew past the Bald Eagle Area Eagles 56-16. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 25 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Richland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lanie Marshall, who posted eight points in addition to six boards and five assists. Marshall has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 15 times she's played. Kiya Wise was another key player, putting up nine points.

Richland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 28 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 12 consecutive matchups.

With the win, Richland broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-5. As for Bald Eagle Area, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.
