Baseball Recap: Northwestern Comes Up Short

Northwestern and Titusville squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Northwestern had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Rockets by a score of 2-0. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Rockets: they've now lost five in a row.

Northwestern's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Titusville, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.

Northwestern does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Titusville, they will take on Fairview on Friday. The Rockets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 10 runs per game this season.
