Soccer Recap: Exeter Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Exeter's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden West Trailblazers on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Exeter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 471st, while Golden West are ranked 119th).

This is the second loss in a row for Exeter and nudges their season record down to 3-3-2. As for Golden West, their win bumped their record up to 11-1-1.

Exeter will take on Strathmore in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Golden West and Central East will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Golden West's defense better be ready for this one: Central East have averaged an impressive 3 goals per game this season.
