Ledyard proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bacon Academy Bobcats, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Colonels have posted against the Bobcats since May 14, 2022.
Ayden Quilter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
