Baseball Recap: Wolcott Comes Up Short

If Wolcott was feeling good fresh off their 33-6 takedown of Holy Cross on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles fell 5-2 to the Torrington Raiders on Monday. The Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Raiders from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Wolcott has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Torrington, their record now sits at 6-10.

Looking ahead, Wolcott will take on Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kennedy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.5 runs per game on average), something Wolcott will no doubt try to take advantage of. Torrington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
