Baseball Recap: Johnson Knights vs. White County Warriors
Johnson extended their losing streak to 26 on Friday, dropping their season record down to 2-28 in the process. They lost 16-0 to the White County Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent defeat being a 21-0 loss on Thursday.
As for White County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-15. Give their pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.
For White County's part, Shelton Ramey made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Ramey has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. He has become a key player for White County: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 11-15 otherwise.
