Recap: Franklin Towne vs. Abraham Lincoln Railsplitters
Franklin Towne were the 48-21 winner over the Abraham Lincoln Railsplitters when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Franklin Towne fell just short of Abraham Lincoln by a score of 34-32. Franklin Towne has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Franklin Towne's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Sophia Blaisdell, who scored 11 points, and Meiara Staton who scored ten points.
Abraham Lincoln was led to victory by Haja Lewis and Makayla Taylor-Haynes. Lewis scored 14 points, while Taylor-Haynes scored 16 points.
Franklin Towne's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Abraham Lincoln, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin Towne will take on Academy at Palumbo at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Academy at Palumbo is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road. As for Abraham Lincoln, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mastery Charter Hardy Williams at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
