Warner Robins dropped down to 8-7 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 12-0 to the Northside Eagles. The Demons were red-hot at the plate heading into the matchup (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but the Eagles' pitchers proved too tough.
As for Northside, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-7. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by eight runs or more this season.
For Northside's part, the team relied heavily on Madi Burch, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Burch has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of E'Vejia Burgman, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Warner Robins will face off against Howard at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Huskies have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.11 runs per game on average), something the Demons will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Northside, they will host Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
