Carrollton had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.6 goals) and they went ahead and made it eight on Thursday. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the East Coweta Indians. Given Carrollton's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 19th, while East Coweta are ranked 125th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Carrollton's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1. As for East Coweta, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carrollton will venture away from home to challenge Cass at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Carrollton is facing Cass at the right time seeing as Cass is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for East Coweta, they will head out to take on Newnan at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
