Dixon hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They enjoyed a cozy 48-33 victory over the Natomas Nighthawks on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Rams: when they faced off against the Nighthawks back in January, they had to take a 41-21 loss.

Dixon got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Emily Morris out in front who went 6 for 12 en route to 17 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. Alina Munoz was another key player, going 5 of 9 on her way to 13 points and three steals.

Dixon was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.6 assists per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 10.

Natomas' defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ana Elkins, who posted 13 points.

Dixon's record is now 8-14. As for Natomas, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.

Dixon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 18-14 loss against Novato on the 1st. As for Natomas, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 38-20 victory against Destiny Christian Academy on the 4th.
