            Softball Recap: Bethel Wildcats vs. Prague Red Devils        
        
		
        
        
            Bethel never let their opponents score on Monday. They were the clear victors by  a  14-0 margin over the Prague Red Devils. That looming  14-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Wildcats yet this  season.

 Lilly Ingmire made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. With that strong performance,  she is now averaging an impressive 5.3  strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate,  going 4-for-5 with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  triple. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in August of 2024.
 In other batting news,  Kinley Bowles was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. Those  three  runs gave  her a new career-high.  Layla Menhusen was another key player,  going 1-for-2 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 Bethel was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .467. That's the best  batting average they've posted all season.
Bethel now  has a winning record of 3-2. As for Prague, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
 Bethel has  already played their next  game (against Crooked Oak), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Prague, they will get a bit of extra time to process the  defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Stroud at 4:30  p.m.  on September 18.
