Recap: Community Academy of Philadelphia The Bruins vs. Kimberton Waldorf Bulls
The Community Academy of Philadelphia The Bruins lost against the Kimberton Waldorf Bulls back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Community Academy of Philadelphia had to suffer through a rough 54-16 loss at the hands of Kimberton Waldorf. While losing is never fun, Community Academy of Philadelphia can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 305th, while Kimberton Waldorf is ranked 22nd).
Ciara O'Hara was her usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with nine steals for Kimberton Waldorf. The contest was O'Hara's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Camron Nixon, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and five steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Community Academy of Philadelphia and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Kimberton Waldorf, their win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Community Academy of Philadelphia will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on String Theory at 3:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Kimberton Waldorf will be home for the holidays to greet Morrisville at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
