Basketball Recap: Elwood Takes a Loss

If Elwood was feeling good fresh off their 58-17 takedown of Wes-Del last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Elwood Panthers took a 51-33 bruising from the Mississinewa Indians on Saturday. The Panthers have struggled against the Indians recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Leading Mississinewa to victory were Brooklynn Nash and Jaci Crick. Nash went 7 of 12 en route to 20 points and five steals, while Crick posted 14 points and five rebounds. That's the most steals Nash has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Emma Wakeman, who scored six points.

Elwood's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Mississinewa, their win bumped their record up to 9-12.

Elwood has already played their next match (against Daleville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mississinewa has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Frankton.
