Meadowbrook Christian picks up 16th straight win on the road

Recap: Meadowbrook Christian vs. Juniata Indians

Meadowbrook Christian put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 46-30 win over Juniata. Given Meadowbrook Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while Juniata is ranked 296th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meadowbrook Christian was led to victory by Madalyn Fasnacht and Kailey Devlin. Fasnacht scored 18 points along with seven steals and two blocks, while Devlin scored 19 points along with five assists and two steals. Fasnacht hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Alayna Smith, who scored three points along with six rebounds and five blocks.

Meadowbrook Christian pushed their record up to 13-0 with that victory, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Juniata, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meadowbrook Christian will challenge Bucktail at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Juniata won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Line Mountain at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th.
