Softball Recap: O'neill Wins Going Away Against Lexington

While O'Neill put up plenty of runs on Saturday, the same can't be said for Lexington. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Minutemen. Considering the Eagles have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

O'Neill got a massive performance out of Grace Drueke, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave Drueke a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bristol Scott, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

O'Neill was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .524. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

O'Neill now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Lexington, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.

O'Neill wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-0 defeat against Central City on the 15th. As for Lexington, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 21-0 loss against Cozad on the 18th.
