Baseball Recap: Deerfield-Windsor's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

If Deerfield-Windsor was riding high fresh off their 9-0 takedown of Brookwood last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Deerfield-Windsor lost 13-3 to the First Presbyterian Day Vikings on Thursday. The Knights have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

Deerfield-Windsor saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Boyd Pollock, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Having lost for the first time this season, Deerfield-Windsor fell to 4-1-1. As for First Presbyterian Day, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3.

Deerfield-Windsor and First Presbyterian Day should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Deerfield-Windsor will challenge Fullington Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday up 295 places (151 vs. 446). Meanwhile, First Presbyterian Day (ranked 73rd) will meet Stratford Academy (ranked 233rd) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
