The St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings will venture away from home to challenge the Lakeside School Chiefs at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
St. Anne-Pacelli's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Strong Rock Christian with a sharp 7-0 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Vikings have posted against the Patriots since April 24, 2024.

Jaycob Veloz was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. St. Anne-Pacelli is 5-1 when Veloz posts two or more runs, but 8-15 otherwise. Braden Hudson also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.
Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Lakeside School rose to the challenge on Monday. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Rebels. The win was nothing new for the Chiefs as they're now sitting on four straight.
Lakeside School saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Demetrius Hardnett, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits Hardnett has posted since back in April. Brayden Vachon was another, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.
St. Anne-Pacelli moved to 13-16 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Lakeside School, their record now sits at 51-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. St. Anne-Pacelli has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Lakeside School struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
St. Anne-Pacelli suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Lakeside School in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
