Righetti has gone 4-0 against Morro Bay recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Righetti Warriors will look to defend their home court against the Morro Bay Pirates at 6:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Righetti and three for Morro Bay.

Righetti came up into this matchup off a tough 43-point defeat on Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Orcutt Academy by a score of 57-55 on Tuesday. Even if the Warriors couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Meanwhile, Morro Bay played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Arroyo Grande, falling 55-16. The contest marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Morro Bay's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Righetti, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.

Righetti was able to grind out a solid victory over Morro Bay in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, winning 66-58. Will Righetti repeat their success, or does Morro Bay have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
