Soccer Recap: Peachtree Ridge Takes a Loss

Peachtree Ridge fought the good fight in their overtime game against Norcross on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Norcross Blue Devils by a score of 1-0. It was the first time this season that the Lions let down their fans at home.

Peachtree Ridge's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Norcross, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-0-1.

Peachtree Ridge and Norcross should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. Peachtree Ridge will square off against Parkview at 7:30 p.m. on Friday up 199 places (30 vs. 229). Peachtree Ridge will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Similarly, Norcross (ranked sixth) will meet Brookwood (ranked 114th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
