Basketball Game Preview: Encinal Jets vs. Alameda Hornets

Encinal is 2-8 against Alameda since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Encinal Jets will face off against the Alameda Hornets at 3:30 p.m. Encinal is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.

Last Thursday, Encinal was fully in charge, breezing past San Lorenzo 54-14. The Jets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Alameda lost 78-52 to Bishop O'Dowd on Friday.

Encinal pushed their record up to 15-7 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points over those games. As for Alameda, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-9.

Encinal lost to Alameda on the road by a decisive 51-34 margin in their previous matchup back in January. Can Encinal avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
