Football Recap: Montgomery Piles Up the Points Against Holy Redeemer

Montgomery had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 43.2 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 57-6 win over the Holy Redeemer Royals. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red Raiders also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Montgomery didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Austin Luckenbill and Trace Furman. Another thorn in Holy Redeemer's side was Logan Joy, who made ten total tackles and defended three passes.

Montgomery's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Holy Redeemer, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Montgomery will take on South Williamsport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Holy Redeemer, they will challenge Columbia Montour Vo-Tech at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Royals will be up against the Rams' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.38 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
