It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but San Pedro had no problem doing just that on Friday. They claimed a resounding 68-35 victory over the South Gate Rams. The Pirates' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

San Pedro got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayda Sanford out in front who posted 18 points. Jamie Sanchez was another key player, putting up 15 points.

The victory made it two in a row for San Pedro and bumps their season record up to 9-16. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points over those games. As for South Gate, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.

Coming up, San Pedro will take on Harbor Teacher at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Harbor Teacher knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully San Pedro likes a good challenge. South Gate does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
