South has gone 6-0-1 against Wiseburn- Da Vinci recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The South Spartans will look to defend their home pitch against the Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves at 6:30 p.m. South is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

South's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Peninsula 3-0. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Panthers are ranked 202nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Wiseburn- Da Vinci ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They skirted past El Segundo 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for Wolves.

South's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2-1. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five contests. As for Wiseburn- Da Vinci, their win bumped their record up to 9-5-1.

South came out on top in a nail-biter against Wiseburn- Da Vinci in their previous meeting two weeks ago, sneaking past 2-1. Will South repeat their success, or does Wiseburn- Da Vinci have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
