Baseball Recap: Elbert County Blue Devils vs. Commerce Tigers

Elbert County lost to Commerce back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Blue Devils walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Tigers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Devils.

Sam Amabile made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

In other pitching news, Elbert County got a great performance from Haven Adams as he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). Adams also tossed no walks, which is notable because the Blue Devils are 13-3 when he allows at most two walks, but 6-7 otherwise.
