The Leo Lions will square off against the Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Leo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 32 points per game this season.

Leo blew DeKalb out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday DeKalb got their revenge. The Lions fell just short of the Barons by a score of 31-28. The contest was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but the Lions couldn't quite close it out.

Despite the defeat, Leo had strong showings from Aaron Perlich, who rushed for 123 yards on only 13 carries, and Titus Stoller, who threw for 135 yards and a pair of TDs.

Even if they lost, Leo's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Sam Miller, Cooper Olson, and Isaiah Coolman, who each picked up one sack apiece. Leo received some extra help from Stoller, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Meanwhile, Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They strolled past the Archers with points to spare, taking the game 28-12. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Saints' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Archers are ranked 163rd).

Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Leo, they moved to 7-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Leo strolled past Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger in their previous meeting back in November of 2023 by a score of 31-13. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Saints have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
