Basketball Recap: Citrus Hill Wins Going Away Against San Gorgonio

Citrus Hill lost to San Gorgonio back in November of 2022, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Citrus Hill Hawks strolled past the San Gorgonio Spartans with points to spare, taking the game 40-26.

San Gorgonio lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jazmin Benson, who posted six points in addition to 15 steals and six assists. Benson has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Y Silvestre, who put up 11 points and three steals.

Citrus Hill now has a winning record of 5-4. As for San Gorgonio, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Citrus Hill will host West Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Valley has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. San Gorgonio will take on St. Lucy's in a holiday battle at at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
