Softball Game Preview: Lindbergh Flyers vs. Lutheran Cougars

The Lindbergh Flyers will head out on the road to challenge the Lutheran Cougars at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lindbergh's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Lutheran's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Wednesday, Lindbergh beat Seckman 5-2. The Flyers haven't had any issues with the Jaguars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Lutheran faced off against Westminster Christian on Tuesday. The Cougars lost 11-1 to the Wildcats. The Cougars have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Lindbergh, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.

Lindbergh came out on top in a nail-biter against Lutheran in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, sneaking past 7-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Flyers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
