After a string of six wins, Pike County's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Morgan County Bulldogs by a score of 12-11. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (ten), the Pirates still had to take the loss.

Pike County's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 13-3. As for Morgan County, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.

While Pike County had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
