Football Recap: Northwest Halifax Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Northwest Halifax extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 3-5. They were dealt a 34-6 loss at the hands of the Northampton County Jaguars. The Vikings lost against the Jaguars in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 26-20 score last time.

As for Northampton County, their record now sits at 2-6. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their eight-point performance the contest before.

Leading Northampton County to victory were Amare Gills and William Whitaker. Gills rushed for 80 yards and a pair of TDs, while Whitaker rushed for 77 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries. Tacoriius Williams was in the mix too, providing the Jaguars with one score.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwest Halifax will host Weldon at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Vikings will be up against the Chargers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.4 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Northampton County, they will welcome Southeast Collegiate Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
