Soccer Recap: Katella Takes a Loss

Katella was the 2-1 winner over Costa Mesa when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Katella Knights took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Costa Mesa Mustangs on Thursday. Considering the last time the Knights couldn't score was back in December of 2024, the team can't take the result too hard.

Katella's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4-4. As for Costa Mesa, they pushed their record up to 9-4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Valencia the next time they take the pitch. Costa Mesa will host Valencia at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Katella will host them at 3:00 p.m. on January 28th.
